Day 1 Arrival in Paro to Thimphu
On arrival in Paro international airport, offer warm welcome by HBT representative and transfer to Thimphu by private car. On arrival, check into your hotel. Afternoon we will do a quick sightseeing like visiting memorial chorten, built in the memory of the late 3rd king. Further we will transfer to Kuensel Phodrang to visit amazing lord Buddha built on the hill top overlooking entire Thimphu valley. Evening we will join nuns to an hour long prayer before heading to our hotel. Overnight in Thimphu, altitude 2400m
Day 2 Thimphu halt
We will take part in early Morning Prayer ceremony in Zangtog Pelri Lhakhang before heading for breakfast. Probably the prayer may last for most of the day in the temple. If time permit, we will proceed to explore city. Visit painting school to understand more complexity of Bhutanese living arts and architects. Visit nearby folk heritage museum which showcase the various ancient farming tools to remind younger generations.
Day 3 Thimphu to Punakha
After our leisurely breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and transfer to warm valley of Punakha. En-route we will stop at Dochula pass, 3050m. During a clear day we will be able to see entire Bhutanese Himalayas in the north. After a short tea break we will proceed to Punakha. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, temple of fertility which is associated with religious arts of phallus by divine mad man, Drukpa Kinley. Visit Punakha Dzong the most beautiful temple which showcases the finest example of Bhutanese arts and architects. Check into your hotel and relax. Overnight at Punakha, altitude 1350.
Day 4 Punakha to Jakar
Checkout from the hotel, after our delicious breakfast we will proceed to Jakar, the valley of white bird. Visit beautiful village of Rinchengang on foot. The road passes village of rukhubji and chendipji before reaching Trongsa. We will visit home of royal ancestral, Trongsa Dzong and nearby watch tower which is recently converted into museum. After crossing Yotongla, Chumey will come into view, where we will stop to see yatha factory. The place which is famous for wool products. Evening check into your hotel. Overnight at Jakar, altitude 2650m.
Day 5 Jakar halt
Today we will spend most of the day chanting prayers, meditating and visiting temples in the scared valley of Bumthang. Many Buddhist legends had visited this valley, meditated and built countless temples making one of the most blessed valley in the country.Overnight at Jakar
Day 6 Jakar to Phobjikha
Checkout from the hotel and drive to valley of black necked cranes, phobjikha. On arrival in Phobjikha, we will visit Gangtey Gonpa, the largest Nyingmapa monastery in the black mountain region. We will take 2 hours hike from the temple to road head where our transport will be waiting us. Evening enjoy the beautiful walk around the valley. Overnight at Phobjikha, altitude 2900m.
Day 7 Phobjikha halt
We will perform religious chanting at one of the local temple in Phobjikha with the locals. Whole day will be engaged with performing religious cermoney. Overnight at Phobjikha.
Day 8 Phobjikha to Paro
Checkout from the hotel and retrace the journey back to Paro, via Dochula pass and Thimphu. On arrival, we will visit national museum which houses the religious painting to unique stamps of Bhutan. Drive down and visit 17 century Paro Dzong, fortress shot in the film “Little Buddha” The massive Dzong was built by Zhabdrung Rimpoche. Overnight at Paro, altitude 2200m.
Day 9 Paro halt
Morning after the breakfast, we will take straight drive to north end of Paro valley and hike to Tiger Nest temple (Taktsang), Taktsang is the most revered temple to the Buddhist. This magical temple clings to a vertical granite cliff 900m above the valley. Legend has it that in the 8th century, Guru Rimpochey, a tantric master flew here on the back of a tigress and meditated in a cave around which the temple is built. The hike to this temple will take up most of our day (2 Hrs uphill). Evening relax at your hotel or take hot stone bath, Bhutanese traditional bath. Overnight in Paro.
Day 10 Departure
Ten days tour will be ended today morning after boarding your flight to back home, you will carry smile on your face, eyes with tears and memories unlimited. Tour staffs will bid you farewell at the airport with the quick prayer of save journey and to see you again in future.
