Day 1 Arrival in Guwahati to Samdrup Jongkhar
Arrival in Guwahati airport, you will be received by Heavenly Bhutan representative and drive to Bhutan border, where you will be greeted by our team. Today will be at leisure so we can walk around decent Samdrup Jongkhar town, meeting locals. You may discuss about the entire itinerary and activities with your guide. Overnight in Samdrup Jongkhar, altitude 250m.
Day 2 Samdrup Jongkhar to Trashigang
After our breakfast we will start our drive to Trashigang. The drive is very scenic which passes through, Dewathang, Wamwrong, Khaling and Kanglung before reaching our newly built hotel. We will also get opportunity to see roadside birds and animals. We will have picnic lunch. On arrival at Khaling we will spent at Khaling textile centre. This is the most famous textile centre of eastern Bhutan. Evening, check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight in Trashigang, altitude 1600m.
Day 3 Trashigang sightseeing
Today we will take a day excursion to Rangjung and Radhi Village. In Rangjung, we will visit the most interesting Rangjung Monastic School. The visit to Monastery will bless us for the rest of the trip and will also introduce us to the dipper practice of Buddhism in Bhutan.Today's lunch will be with locals at local farm house. After lunch we will visit Radhi village textile, where we will get opportunity to interact with the local people. Overnight in Trashigang.
Day 4 Trashigang to Trashiyangtse
After our leisurely breakfast check out from the hotel, visit Tashigang Dzong, which is built by Desi Tenzin Rabgye in 17th century. The Dzong offers spectacular views of Gamrichuu, and river gorge. En-route, we will visit the famous Gomphu Kora. A unique festival of the east is preformed in this temple annually in spring. People from as far as Arunachal Pradesh and around the country gather to witness the festival. Few kilometers away from the temple will come across a place called Dugsum where we use to see iron chain bridge built by Dupthop Thongthong Gyelpo in 15th century. It is believed that he built 108 bridges across Bhutan. He is quite famous in Paro region as well. On arrival in Trashiyangtse, we will check in to our hotel and later we will explore the tiny town of Trashiyangtse. Meeting with experts from eastern wooden products. Trashiyangtse district is the only region famous with such kind of wooden products in the country. Evening we will walk to Chorten Kora, offering our best wishes and prayers for all the sentient beings. Overnight in Trashi Yangtse, altitude 1700m.
Day 5 Trashiyangtse to Mongar
Check out from the hotel. Retrace our drive back till chazam from where our road will divert towards shout west taking us to Mongar. We will have lunch at Zalaphangma Restaurant. The restaurant offers a great view of serchu. Today's drive offers a picturesque zig zegs at Yadhi. We will stop at Korila for a short break offering good wishes and hosting a prayer flag. The pass divides the extreme east of Bhutan with central east. On arrival in Mongar, check in to your hotel and evening we will explore the Mongar town. Overnight in Mongar, altitude 1600m.
Day 6 Monger Halt/ Lhuntse Excursion
After our breakfast we will take an excursion to Lhuentse or Kurichu. Lhuentse offers, a visit to 17th century Lhuentse Dzon or Excursion to Kurichu offers, beautiful views of Kurichu Hydro power plant and meeting with teachers and students at Gyelpozhing Higher Secondary School. The day will be with packed lunch excursion. Evening back to the hotel. Overnight in Mongar.
Day 7 Monger to Jakar
Today's drive will take about seven hours to reach Jakar and the drive is very scenic which passes through a tiny settlement of Lingmethang, Yongkola, Sengkor, Thrumshingla national park and Ura village before reaching a valley of white bird. A great view of waterfall can be seen at Namling Brag. We will have lunch at Sengkhor. If time permits we will visit interesting village of Ura. Overnight in Jakar, altitude 2600m.
Day 8 Jakar sightseeing
We will start today's sightseeing after our leisurely breakfast. The sightseeing includes visiting most of the famous temples like Jambay Lhakhang, Kurje Lhakhang, Bjakar Dzongand Tamshing Lhakhang. If you wish today's sightseeing can be done on foot. Evening back to the hotel, overnight in Jakar.
Day 9 Jakar sightseeing
Today will be joining Lhodrakarchung Buddhist Monastic College and join for morning and evening prayers, get teaching from the teachers and do meditation. Evening back to the hotel, overnight in Jakar.
Day 10 Jakar to Phobjikha
Early morning check out from the hotel and proceed to valley of black necked crane. En-route we will visit famous Yatra woolen factory which is famous in the region. In Trongsa we will visit Taa Dzong (Watch tower) which is converted in museum. We will also visit Trongsa Dzong, which was ancient home of our royals. Lunch in Trongsa. Our drive passes through Yotogla at 3400m and PeleLa at 3300m. Before reaching Phobjikha. On arrival check in to the hotel, overnight in Phobjikha, altitude 2900m.
Day 11 Phobjikha Halt
Today we will visit the largest Ningmapa Monastery in Black mountain region. The valleys is famous for Ningmapa teaching. We will also take several hikes around the valley and will meet locals. Today’s lunch will serve at farm house. If you wish you can try hot stone bath. Evening back to the hotel, overnight in Phobjikha.
Day 12 Phobjikha to Punakha
Check out from the hotel, drive to warm valley of Punakha. En-route visit the ruins of Wangdue Dzong, walk to interesting Rinchengang village and afternoon we will visit the temple of fertility. Overnight in Punakha, altitude, 1350m.
Day 13 Punakha sightseeing
If you wish you might relax whole day in your lodge taking Yoga, Massage and meditating (on extra cost), or we will take a hike to beautiful Khamsum yulley Temple and back to the lodge. The hike will take about an hour one way. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 14 Punakha to Thimphu
If you wish we can take a walk from the lodge to beautiful Punakha Dzong which is built 17th century by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. The Dzong showcase the fine arts and crafts of Bhutan. Later we will proceed to Thimphu. En-route we will stop at beautiful Dochula pass, which offers spectacular views of great Himalayas and highest peaks of Bhutan during a clear day. We will visit Druk Wangyel temples and hoist prayer flag on the pass. Dochula is at 3150m. on arrival in Thimphu, check in to your hotel, overnight in Thimphu, altitude 2300m.
Day 15 Thimphu sightseeing
Late morning after the breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and drive to north end of Thimphu valley and hike to Tango Monastery where we will be meeting Buddhist teachers at the college. Later we will drive back to our hotel, if you wish you can take yoga, meditation and massage at Termalingka on extra cost or we will do other city sightseeing. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 16 Thimphu sightseeing
Today we will be doing most of the city sightseeing including the visits to textile museum, Painting school, folk heritage museum, National Library, Dechenphodrang Monastic school and Nunnery. If you wish we can also visit Buddha view point, changangkha Lhakhang and takin's Mini zoo. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 17 Thimphu to Paro
We will check out from the resort, drive to Paro. En-route we will stop at Chuzom, meeting point of two rivers, further we will follow bank of Paa chu river and visit to Tachogang Lhakhag. Lunch in the town, after lunch, we will visit national museum of Paro and Paro Dzong before checking in to our Resort. Overnight in Paro, altitude 2200m.
Day 18 Paro sightseeing
Today we will take an excursion to Haa valley over CheleLa Pass with pack lunch from the town. Evening back to the hotel and relax with Yoga and massage (on extra cost). Overnight in Paro.
Day 19 Paro sightseeing
Early morning after our delicious breakfast drive to north end of Paro valley and hike to Tiger Nest Temple. The hike to Tiger's Nest will take most of our day. The temple is one of the most renowned temple in the Buddhist world one of the ten most visit site before we die. This is most revolted temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro Valley at 900m above the valley. En-route visit Kichu Lhakhang, one from the 2 oldest Buddhist temple in the country, historic Drukgyal Dzong (Fortress) and Evening at leisure. Overnight in Paro.
Day 20 Tour End
20 days trip will end today, our tour staff will bid you farewell at the Paro international airport for your next destination
